The New Way to Shop: Poshmark

As I mentioned in my giveaway post, I went to the Poshmark event in San Francisco in March. Admittedly, I’d signed up for Poshmark about 6 months ago and then promptly forgot about it. When I heard about the event, I went because I knew there would be other bloggers and it would be a great way to network and meet new people in my new city. I was nervous (I went by myself!) but it ended up being a lot of fun and I met a few really cool people!

The event, of course, piqued my curiosity for Poshmark again and I fired up that old account to check it out. I soon found myself obsessed with the hunt for finding awesome clothing for really cheap. In a nutshell, it’s an online consignment store where you can easily filter for particular brands, sizes, colors, etc. It has a bit of an eBay thrill, with people constantly making offers and bartering with the seller. It’s my new favorite place to shop! The best part? They have an app! I spend way more time on it than I’d like to admit.

Keep reading to find out what I’ve bought and my favorite Poshmark closets!

Some of my favorite closets:

@hollyhannah: Tons of Madewell items deeply discounted (my personal fave!). I bought both the Madewell yellow silk blouse and the Phillip Lim 3.1 peplum top from her. Both arrived in exquisite condition – the Phillip Lim 3.1 top was new with tags!

@lilacrose: She arranges her items together in adorable outfit combos. It makes it hard not to buy everything! I bought those Gap pony-hair leopard mini wedges from her and she included a thank you note with the package. They were also new with tags!

@affableolive: Cute, brightly colored clothes and shoes for really reasonable prices. I have my eye on several items from her closet (don’t snatch them up before I do!).

@mjxl: Shot on pure white backgrounds, she lets each item from her closet shine. She also sells her own jewelry in her Poshmark closet! She’s been a featured seller on Poshmark’s twitter page.

@methodclothe: Dripping with statement necklaces, J.Crew, and Madewell clothing and shoes, her closet is swoon-worthy.

What do you think? Would you try out Poshmark?
