My New Apartment Tour!

I’ve been wanting to share an apartment tour video with you guys for a WHILE and I’m happy to announce that it’s finally here! As you probably already know, we’ve been living in our (new) apartment out in the East Bay for about a year. I firmly believe that it takes at least a year to feel settled and comfortable in a new space. We’ve been mostly situated for a while now, but one of my goals for 2016 was to put the finishing touches on our apartment. I’ve been doing a bit of sprucing up and rearranging for the past month or two and decided it was FINALLY time to take you along with me! We really love our space and feel comfortable and settled. I tried to include links to the products I featured in the description box of the video, but please leave me a comment if you have a question about anything I forgot to include!

Beachy Waves Hair Tutorial!

Happy Monday! I’m just popping in to say hello and share this fun little beachy waves tutorial with you gals! My favorite tool that I use to create beachy waves is… can you guess? A flatiron! This may sound unusual to some of you, but I assure you that a flatiron is the best way to achieve those enviable S-shaped waves that never seem to come out right with a curling iron. The GHD 1-inch Styler has a beveled edge, which means flawless beachy waves are finally attainable! Combine that with my favorite hairspray + sea salt spray combo and you’ve got a recipe that can’t fail!

Pro tip:

Try perfecting the wrist movement before you turn on your flatiron, as it can be a little tricky at first and we don’t want any scorched tresses on our hands!

A Valentine’s Vlog!

Happy Valentine’s Day! I’ve been having a lot of fun putting together these little vlogs the past few weeks (if you haven’t noticed, haha!). Since we both had the day off yesterday, my valentine and I swapped gifts and stayed in for a cozy breakfast, ventured out for an afternoon movie, did some shopping, and ended the day with deep-dish pizza. I’m sure I don’t say this enough but if you ever see beautiful photos or videos on this blog, it is because of this man! He is always a good sport and sometimes even lets me film him with the camera once in a while ;).

This Weekend: Manis + Mimosas!

Happy Monday! This weekend seemed to go by in the blink of an eye, but I had so much fun hanging with my girl, Mel, and venturing into SF! We stopped by our girl Aimee‘s event and sipped mimosas while getting our nails done. It was such a nice treat and it was so great to meet some other fellow SF bloggers. The event was sponsored by Yes To, a brand that I’ve used and loved for years. We took home some goodies, including some products for our guys. When I got home, I told Sawyer that I brought him back some swag from the event and he said, “Can I eat it?”. LOL! Honestly, you probably could, but I don’t think it would taste very good!
